The Dreame L20 Ultra is the premium robot that ticks every box: extendable mop pads, a full hot-water dock and a record 230-minute runtime. It does 90% of the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra work at a softer price. The most rational premium choice.
Dreame L20 Ultra Review: Premium Without Compromise
The Dreame L20 Ultra is the premium robot that ticks every box: extendable mop pads for corners, a full dock with hot-water washing and 230 minutes of runtime, for around $750. After weeks of testing, here is our full review.
Mopping: the extendable pads that change everything
The extendable rotating pads reach corners and baseboards — the area most robots abandon. The 12 mm lift protects carpets, and the dock washes the pads with hot water and dries them. Credible mopping, just behind the VibraRise of the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra.
Dock: total hands-free
Automatic emptying, hot-water washing, hot-air drying and tank refilling: the dock handles everything. Maintenance every 2-3 weeks.
Runtime: 230 minutes, class record
With 230 minutes of runtime and a 5,200 mAh battery, the L20 Ultra covers large homes without intermediate recharging — the best autonomy in its category.
Power: 7,300 Pa, the relative weak spot
The 7,300 Pa sit a notch below the new flagships (the L10s Ultra Gen 3 shows 13,000 Pa for $200 less). It shows on thick carpets. On hard floors and low-pile carpet, it is more than enough.
Verdict
The Dreame L20 Ultra is the most rational premium robot: extendable pads, full dock and record autonomy for around $750. It does 90% of the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra work for much less. If corner mopping is your priority, this is the ideal choice.
