Roborock vs Dreame 2026: The Match of the Two Leaders

Two brands, two philosophies, one segment: the premium robot vacuum-mop. Roborock and Dreame now share the majority of the premium market, and it is common to see buyers hesitate for weeks between the S8 Pro Ultra and the L10s Ultra. Both robots are excellent, but not for the same reasons.

This comparison settles it. We have selected the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra (≈1,200 €) against the Dreame L10s Ultra (≈850 €), two directly competing references equipped with all-in-one stations and positioned on the same promise: vacuum, mop and manage maintenance without human intervention.

Roborock S8 Pro Ultra: The Most Complete

Price: 1,099 - 1,299 €

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra remains the reference since its launch, and 2026 has not yet produced a competitor that directly dethrones it. The PreciSense LiDAR is the best navigation sensor on the consumer market: mapping in one pass, fine obstacle recognition, and return to base without hesitation even after forty minutes of intensive cleaning.

Suction reaches 6,000 Pa, which remains behind the marketing figures displayed by some less established Chinese competitors, but the real difference on carpet is marginal. The VibraRise sonic system vibrates the mop at 3,000 vibrations/minute to dislodge dry stains, a real plus on glazed hardwood and smooth tile.

The Empty Wash Fill station is the most complete on the market: it empties the bin, washes the mop, dries it and refills the clean water tank without intervention. In practice, you open the station once a month to empty the dust bag and that's it.

Pros

  • Most precise PreciSense LiDAR navigation
  • Complete station (empty + wash + dry + refill)
  • Mature and stable Roborock app
  • Effective VibraRise sonic mopping
  • Compatible Alexa, Google Home and Siri

Cons

  • High price (≈1,200 €)
  • Suction power behind on paper (6,000 Pa)
  • Bulky station (plan 50 cm width)

Verdict

If budget is not the main criterion and you want software peace of mind for five years, the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the choice to make without hesitation. It costs more, but ages better.

Dreame L10s Ultra: The Best Value for Money

Price: 799 - 949 €

The Dreame L10s Ultra plays a different card: offering 90% of Roborock features for 400 € less. And honestly, the promise is kept.

With 5,300 Pa suction and LiDAR + AI Action navigation, mapping is fast (one 80 m² floor in 6-7 minutes the first time) and obstacle recognition correctly identifies shoes, cables and pet bowls. The 180 rpm rotating mop system is different from Roborock's vibration approach — it mechanically scrubs the floor rather than vibrating it — and gives excellent results on greasy floors (kitchen in particular).

The all-in-one station washes the mops with hot water, then dries them with hot air, eliminating damp cloth odors and extending their lifespan. The clean water tank is larger than Roborock's, reducing refill frequency.

The 210-minute battery life is a real advantage on large surfaces. In a 120 m² apartment with carpet, it finishes everything in one charge where Roborock has to return to base. On the software side, Dreamehome has progressed a lot in 2026-2027 but remains behind Roborock's app on multi-floor management and fine customization.

Pros

  • Aggressive price (400 € less than Roborock)
  • 210-minute battery life (longest in the duel)
  • Hot water washing and hot air drying
  • Automatically avoids carpets in mop mode
  • Contained noise level (65 dB)

Cons

  • Less mature Dreamehome app
  • Imperfect multi-floor management
  • Obstacle recognition behind on small objects

Verdict

The Dreame L10s Ultra is the rational choice. For most users in a standard home (60-120 m²), it will do exactly the same job as Roborock, for several hundred euros less.

Head-to-Head: Where Each Wins

Navigation — Roborock wins. PreciSense LiDAR and mature app make the difference in complex homes (multi-floor, lots of furniture).

Raw Suction — Tie. 6,000 vs 5,300 Pa, the gap is imperceptible in use.

Mopping — Dreame advantage. Rotating mops + hot water give a cleaner result on greasy floors. Roborock's VibraRise excels on dry stains.

Battery Life — Dreame wins with 30 minutes more (210 vs 180 min).

Station — Roborock slightly ahead thanks to fine water refill management, but Dreame's station remains excellent.

Price — Dreame wins clearly. 400 € difference is the price of a good secondary stick vacuum.

Software over 5 years — Roborock. Update history and stability are unmatched in the category.

Which to Choose?

Choose the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra if:

  • You have a large home (>120 m²) or multiple floors
  • You want the best app and most reliable navigation
  • You plan to keep the robot 5+ years
  • Budget is not your first criterion

Choose the Dreame L10s Ultra if:

  • Your home is 60-120 m² on a single level
  • You prioritize value for money
  • You have lots of hard floors (tile, hardwood)
  • You want the best battery life in the duo

Conclusion

Our verdict is clear: the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra keeps first place for software quality, navigation and longevity. The Dreame L10s Ultra offers the best value for money in the segment and wins on two concrete criteria (mopping + battery life).

There is no bad choice here. There is the perfectionist's choice (Roborock) and the pragmatist's choice (Dreame).
